Popular actress and entrepreneur Aisha Lawal has publicly addressed rumors regarding her finances while firmly denying claims of receiving a luxury car as a gift.
The controversy arose after a viral video featuring an NURTW leader, Baba Bistijabah, alleged that their national chairman, MC Oluomo, took a Venza car from him and passed it on to the actress.
During an appearance on the Talk to B show, Lawal dismissed the accusations, clarifying that she has never owned or driven a Venza.
Setting the record straight, she revealed the real foundation of her wealth: “The COVID-19 pandemic was my defining moment. In just one week during lockdown, I made N10 million.”
She continued, “I don’t know if this was a setup or if the man was under any influence to make such a false claim. While I respect MC Oluomo for his generosity, I never accepted a car from him. People need to respect my hard work—I earned my success. Besides, Venza isn’t even my style. I drive a GX 460.”
