Renowned transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has refuted claims that Manchester United are preparing an offer for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.
As per Romano, only Juventus, Al Hilal, and Galatasaray are actively pursuing the Nigerian striker at this stage.
In a discussion on his YouTube channel, Romano stated: “There’s still no significant progress on this front [Manchester United’s interest in Osimhen], and nothing is expected to change in the immediate future.
“Despite numerous inquiries from Manchester United supporters, I can confirm there are currently no serious discussions between the club and Napoli regarding Victor Osimhen.
“Presently, Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal and Galatasaray—where Osimhen spent last season on loan—remain the most persistent in their efforts to sign him.
“Galatasaray are making attempts, though their financial proposal differs substantially from Al-Hilal’s package. Both clubs continue negotiations to finalize a deal for Osimhen.”
He further noted: “The situation remains fluid. While Juventus have inquired about Osimhen recently, Galatasaray and Al-Hilal currently lead the race to complete his transfer.”
