Nigerian music sensation Lil Kesh has shared his unconventional views on marriage in a recent interview.
During his appearance on The Esther Show, the YBNL artist dropped some bombshells about his personal life and relationship philosophy.
The ‘Shoki’ crooner opened up: “Right now, I’m flying solo – and I’ve been on this single journey for quite some time. My last relationship ended because I realized I needed space to focus on my grind. When it came down to choosing between love and my career, my music won.”
“It’s not that I’m completely closed off to love – if the right person comes along and changes my perspective, great. But currently, I’m not actively looking. At 31, I’m past the point of casual flings, and thankfully my parents respect my choices,” he continued with a shrug.
Dropping his most controversial take, Lil Kesh revealed: “Marriage? Maybe someday in the distant future. But right now? Not on my radar. I refuse to bring a child into this world recklessly or pretend to be ready for ‘wifing’ someone when I’m not all in.”
“This isn’t about wanting to play the field,” the artist clarified. “I’ve seen too many toxic marriages and messy divorces. Of course happy marriages exist, but I won’t risk someone else’s happiness just to tick a societal box. When I’m ready to build a happy home, you’ll know – but that day isn’t today.”
