Lionel Messi, the world-famous Inter Miami star, has revealed that his outlook on this year’s FIFA Club World Cup will differ from his past experiences.
Inter Miami will begin their campaign at Hard Rock Stadium, facing off against Al Ahly.
Messi has prior experience in the tournament, having competed with Barcelona.
He stated: “It’s a fantastic competition. Being here and playing in it is thrilling.”
“However, my mindset is different compared to when I played with other clubs.”
“Nonetheless, I’m highly motivated and optimistic, eager to take on the best teams and deliver strong performances.”
Messi also emphasized the significance of this edition, which features an expanded 32-team format for the first time.
The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner is set to participate in his fourth Club World Cup, having previously lifted the trophy three times with Barcelona.
